Our company saw massive growth in the 80’s, when our local factory became a small multinational company and sales increased considerably. Driessen first went international when we opened a sales office in the Netherlands Antilles, helping us establish a foothold in the strong North and South American markets. We later moved this office to Houston, USA. In 1986, Driessen started our own manufacturing facility for trolleys and other galley equipment in Bangkok, Thailand, cementing our foundation in the Asia Pacific region. In the early 90’s, the factory moved from Bangkok to its current location in Lamphun, Thailand.

In 2008, the Driessen Aerospace Group became part of the Zodiac Aerospace Group. The Zodiac Aerospace Group was a stock listed multinational in the aviation industry, with 80 production sites around the world and more than 20,000 dedicated employees. A world leader in all the services it provided, Zodiac Aerospace specialized in Cabin Interiors, Aircraft Systems, Aero safety & Technology. On February 13, 2018, Zodiac Aerospace joined Safran to create the world’s third largest aerospace company (excluding aircraft manufacturers).

On the 1st of June, 2023, Driessen Catering Equipment became a Dutch independent company, owned by Hivest Capital Partners and independent private equity firm. With our long history, dedicated team, drive for innovation and passion both for building passenger catering equipment and supporting our customers, we believe Driessen Catering Equipment is well positioned for the future.
